Using The Bath To Relax Your Mind And Body
That Monday morning feeling has lasted all week. Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong today and you’ve had just about enough of it. A long relaxing soak in a bubble bath is just what you need to let all those sresses just wash away. It’s essential you try and make time for yourself so you can unwind especially if you’ve had such a bad day.
Make sure your bathroom is the right environment for a bath. Try and get it tidy and straight. White and blue bathroom suites are more calming and relaxing which is why these are the most popular colours. As silly as it may sound there is an art behind running the perfect bath. You’ve got several different elements between all the liquids, gels and powders then you’ve got to balance the scents. Give the bath a quick clean before you do anything else. You don’t want to have to go to the trouble of running baths if it’s over week’s worth of dirt and grime. As you add the water pour the gels or oils in with the hot water. Always pour if from the taps so it runs in like a water fall. All the scents from the gels and liquids then get mixed naturally with the water to release the aroma.
When it comes to powders and salts these need to dissolve fully otherwise it will be uncomfortable. They’ll fizz more effectivly when they’re in warmer water. You don’t want to be enjoying your bath and be able to feel grit from the soap. Don’t forget a few scented candles and some peaceful music. Include scents like lavender if you want to really relax. When it comes to the music always opt for something you don’t normally listen to like pan pipes or chill out music.
