Big and tall men’s clothing sizes used to be identified only as XXXL/XXXXL a long time ago. Today many people who wear even an XL clothing size are considered “big and tall.” Clothes are being designed for smaller people, and because of that the labels are indicating smaller sizes. This practice has been seen with women’s clothes for a very long time, but it is now seen in men’s clothing, too. The good news is that this means more stores than ever before are featuring sections for big and tall men’s clothing. Next we’ll talk about how what you can do to find the clothing you need and hopefully some outstanding deals on them, as well. By the way, I dropped a little more than 3 inches off of my waistline in the last 30 days with the AthLEAN X program. Check it out, it is very good.

First up - get on your cell phone, use the yellow pages, and just call places and ask rather than wasting a lot of time driving from store to store. You can call, ask for the men’s clothing department, and ask if they carry your size. To avoid any confusion or problems, might be best to ask them if they have the size you wear in the store. You don’t need to ask about individual items, you only need to make sure that your size is carried by that particular store. Doing this can save you quite a bit of time that would otherwise be spent wandering around in store after store only to find out that they do not have the size you need. Choose clothing that is lower waisted. Pants cut with a high waist line aren’t suitable for most body types, which could be a reason why they’re not available much these days. Try to choose pants that sit a bit lower down on the hips. These can help lengthen the look of your torso. See if you can find pants that sit just below your waist line. There’s also the risk of giving yourself a ‘muffin top’ appearance if you get pants that are too low cut down your hips.

Try to choose fabric types that can offer you support for your frame. Bigger men will do well with denim jeans because these pants can hold more weight than slacks or khaki pants. Denim can be great for holding in some of the weight, while pants in a lighter fabric could actually make your curves more prominent. The fabrics you choose should be considered carefully. Lighter, flowy fabrics can often make you appear much larger than you are, even though they tend to breathe a little better in some cases. There are a lot of ways to find big and tall men’s clothing that fits you properly. It’s probably not a must that you use a special store to find your size. And with the vanity sizing, you may find yourself not a part of that size category, anymore. But also think that some sizes that were once called, normal, are now considered big and tall, so they’ll be easier to find. You’ll be able to find the size that’s right for you, just need to think a little out of the box.
