So I can remember when I was just about perhaps 21 or so , maybe a bit earlier—it was 2003, 2004—I don’t truly feel a bit like doing the mathematics right now, although it was about that time frame—and I recall that I would get so stressed, so easily. I'd notice scenarios that would stress me out, and I did not realize it at the time that I was stressing, but I'd feel a pain in my back. It would be sort of tingly and sort of hurt, and it might drip and chill all the way up to the back of my neck, and I would get kind of lightheaded and just feel actually tense and concerned.
It was only until that stopped occuring that I realized it was not a normal thing, and it was not a great thing for that to be happening. Essentially what happened is, about the same time that I started taking reishi mushroom, I used to be a barista, I was working at a coffee shop—basically what that reduced down to was being one person there from 6 am to 12 p.m., having to handle not only preparing everything, keeping everything clean, dealing with shoppers, cashing everything out, both for a drive-thru and from a walk-in counter—doing all of these things while trying to have a body and a character, and it really, actually, actually stressed me out. Especially because I hate waking up early, particularly 6 am on the weekends.
So after about a month of working there, I began to take reishi on a consistent basis, and I noticed the pains in my back started to go down, started to be less, and I spotted I started to feel more in the flow, more in a position to handle what was occurring in the eventualities that were presenting themselves to me. As it was extraordinarily stressful, there had been a lot to handle, a large amount of folk to deal with, lots of variables going on immediately. So I feel just like if it were not for reishi, I'd have probably just passed out from exhaustion or simply been toast after that
But what happened was I started taking it and I kept taking it on a consistent basis—consistent basis—because I saw the benefits, and I knew how dazzling it was. Eventually, the stress started to just melt away. The situation didn't change, the situation really got worse, but what occurred was that my body changed. My biochemistry modified, my biochemical makeup changed.
